My art exhibition is at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (300 North Washington) building until June 19, 2014–check it out! The show includes Zentangle-inspired drawings by myself and community members. I tangled on photographs of empty, unused commercial buildings in Lansing to highlight wasted space in our region. The delightful beauty of the tangled patterns contrasts with the dismay and decay of vacant buildings. The first floor lobby area is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8AM – 4:30PM, FREE. Please let me know what you think about the artwork.
It might be fun to make tangled paper dolls!!
“I got a fortune cookie that said, ‘To remember is to understand.’ I have never forgotten it. A good judge remembers what it was like to be a lawyer. A good editor remembers being a writer. A good parent remembers what it was like to be a child.”
— Anna Quindlen, writer
